What’s a broken plot?

It’s a common pitfall that writers fall into when they start with one conflict but lose confidence in their ability to drive that conflict forward, and so they move onto a different conflict.

This disorients readers because they don’t know where to focus. They’re not being anchored or guided through the story because there’s more than one story happening. And the emotional through-line is fractured.

In today’s episode of Writer Unleashed, we’ll talk about how to fix a broken plot. And even avoid it altogether.
